Summer is a season of connection, exploration, and continued growth. At On Track Pediatric Therapy, we are excited to share important updates about expanded services, new funding opportunities, and community partnerships that continue to support children, caregivers, and families in meaningful ways.
Expanding Access to AAC Funding Through MO HealthNet and Insurance Coverage
We are excited to announce that MO HealthNet has approved expanded funding pathways for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. This important development allows more children and families to access communication tools that support functional and independent expression.
In addition to MO HealthNet, AAC evaluations and device funding may also be supported through a variety of commercial insurance plans depending on individual benefits and medical necessity criteria. Our team works closely with families to help determine eligibility, navigate insurance requirements, and complete funding documentation.
We frequently utilize AAC systems from leading companies, including:
- Tobii Dynavox
- PRC-Saltillo
- Forbes AAC
Through these systems, we are able to offer AAC evaluations, trial device programs, and comprehensive funding support, helping ensure each child is matched with the most appropriate dedicated communication device for their needs.
Whether a child is beginning AAC exploration or transitioning to a more robust communication system, our team supports families through every step of the process from evaluation to funding approval and implementation.
Caregiver Support Group Launches Through Tri-County Collaboration
Through our continued partnership with the Tri-County Behavioral Health Collaborative, we are proud to announce the launch of a Caregiver Support Group for adults.
The first meeting will take place on June 22, offering a welcoming space for caregivers to connect, share experiences, and build community together. This group is designed to provide support, reduce isolation, and foster meaningful peer connection.
Additional groups are in development, and we welcome feedback from families regarding topics or formats that would be most helpful. If there is a need for either pediatric or adult support groups, we encourage you to reach out and let us know.
Expanding Home Health Services
We are also excited to share that home health services are now available in select areas, depending on provider availability. Current coverage includes:
- Washington, Missouri
- Columbia, Missouri
Home-based services allow therapy to take place in a child’s natural environment, supporting functional skill development where it matters most. Families interested in home health services are encouraged to contact our office to determine eligibility and provider availability.
